PNGcheck, version 2.3.0. pngcheck verifies the
integrity of PNG, JNG and MNG files (by checking
the internal 32-bit CRCs [checksums] and
decompressing the image data); it can optionally
dump almost all of the chunk-level information
in the image in human-readable form. For
example, it can be used to print the basic
statistics about an image (dimensions, bit
depth, etc.); to list the color and transparency
info in its palette (assuming it has one); or to
extract the embedded text annotations. This is a

potrace 1.15. Copyright (C) 2001-2017 Peter
Selinger. Transform bitmaps into vector
graphics. Potrace is a tool for tracing a
bitmap, which means, transforming a bitmap into
a smooth, scalable image. The input is a bitmap
(PBM, PGM, PPM, or BMP), and the output is one
of several vector file formats. A typical use is
to create SVG or PDF files from scanned data,
such as company or university logos, handwritten
notes, etc. The resulting image is not "jaggy"
like a bitmap, but smooth. It can then be
rendered at any resolution. This port was done

Persistence of Vision Ray tracer, v. 3.6.1. This
is the latest stable version of POV Ray, the
most known graphic rendering program available
open-sourced. The Persistence of Vision
Ray-Tracer creates three-dimensional,

technique called ray-tracing. It reads in a text
file containing information describing the
objects and lighting in a scene and generates an
image of that scene from the view point of a
camera also described in the text file.
Ray-tracing is not a fast process by any means,
but it produces very high quality images with
realistic reflections, shading, perspective and
other effects. Additional requirements: GCC
4.5.2 DLL. This port was done by: Mentore
Siesto.

ThumbIndex ver 1.30 - Create indices of images
using thumbnails. When offering a list of files
for downloading over the WWW, it's often conveni
tographically illustrate the contents of the fil
by displaying a thumbnail (a small GIF image)
adjacent to the file name. For example, thumbnai
are often minatures of larger graphics files.
ThumbIndex is designed to create, and deliver,
these thumbnails. It's main advantage is ease
of use; you can easily create web-accessible
indices containing thumbnails that point to
their underlying image. By Daniel Hellerstein

zgv 5.9 - copyright (C) 1993-2005 Russell Marks.
zgv is a picture viewer with a thumbnail-based
file selector. It's pretty featureful, and is
probably the best svgalib-based viewer. (It can
also be built to use SDL if you prefer.) Lots of
people have told me they like it, where "lots" =
"oh, it must be at least two or three", and you
can't ask for a more ringing endorsement than
that. Well, you could, but I'm not sure you'd
get it. :-) zgv supports most popular formats,
and allows panning and fit-to-screen methods of
viewing, slideshows, scaling, gamma adjustment,
etc.
